SOS Children’s Villages (often called SOS Villages or SOS Villages d’enfants) is a global, independent NGO founded in 1949 by Austrian Hermann Gmeiner to care for children orphaned or at risk of losing parental care. Headquartered in Innsbruck, Austria, it operates in over 130 countries, running around 570–572 SOS villages and supporting tens of thousands of children annually.
Da Lat SOS Village was originally founded in 1974, it paused operations in 1975, then officially restarted in 1989 after cooperation between SOS International, Vietnam’s Ministry of Labour–Invalids & Social Affairs, and Lâm Đồng province.
At VSSC, we believe in the power of sports to connect people, build meaningful relationships, and shape strong character in young children. We are committed to leveraging the benefits of physical activity to create healthier, happier lives for young athletes and contribute positively to the community.
This marks our second collaboration with SOS Children’s Village, and we are proud to continue supporting their mission. If you’re interested in sponsoring a free volleyball camp to a charity of your choice, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch!
